President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan participated via video conference in the ceremony held in Şanlıurfa for the emergency use authorization and the commencement of mass production of the TURKOVAC vaccine.
In his speech at the ceremony, President Erdoğan stated:
“It is very important that this vaccine can now be produced in our country. It is even more meaningful that it has been developed by our own scientists and researchers. We are celebrating the transition of our domestic vaccine to mass production. Having received the necessary approvals, TURKOVAC has reached the stage of production and use, symbolizing our nation’s efforts to protect our people against the pandemic in the most effective way. Thus, following Sinovac and BioNTech vaccines, we will be able to offer TURKOVAC to our citizens as well. With the production of TURKOVAC, we will be pleased to share it with all humanity. I wish our TURKOVAC vaccine to be beneficial for our country, our nation, and all mankind.”
