The first dose of the domestic vaccine candidate was administered at Erciyes University.

Significant progress has been made at Erciyes University in vaccine development efforts against COVID-19. The domestically developed inactivated vaccine candidate, ERUCOV-VAC, created at Erciyes University Vaccine Research and Development Application and Research Center (ERAGEM), manufactured under GMP conditions at Koçak Farma, and supported by the Ministry of Health, has completed its R&D phase.

Following ethical committee approval and authorization from the Ministry of Health, Phase 1 trials commenced at Erciyes University Good Clinical Practice and Research Center (İKUM) with the administration of the first dose to a volunteer.
